I get to travel a lot for my job and, at each stop, I have a chance to talk to information security professionals about the challenges they face. One topic tends to dominate our conversations: compliance. Obviously, regulations have significantly changed the infosecurity landscape -- perhaps more so than any other single concern. In fact, at the beginning of the year, three-quarters of our readers told us that they'd be spending more time on compliance in 2006.
There's undoubtedly a lot of compliance-related information floating around on the Web. But wouldn't it be great if there were a single place where security pros could go to find a wide variety of compliance-related resources, all designed specifically for you? Well, now there is.
This week, we introduced our All-in-One Guide to Compliance. It's a central collection of dozens of great articles, tips and webcasts that acknowledges something essential: no two information security professionals have exactly the same regulatory concerns or information needs. So, if you're still learning about regulations, we recommend you start with our SOX Security School or the guide's chapter introducing you to the various information security-related regs. If you're in the market for effective technologies, we've got a chapter focused on products (including the results of some of our testing). Whether your chief concern is GLBA, FFIEC, PCI (or virtually any other major regulation), you'll find good, relevant content.
Give the guide a look and let me know what you think. Check the box marked "New in this guide" to keep tabs on newly added content. And, if I should run into you during one of my many trips, don't hesitate to share your thoughts on compliance and the type of material you'd like to read.
